The William Avery Rockefeller Rockwood Hall Carved Rosewood Overmantel Mirror, c. 1887, stamped Herter Brothers, New York, lamb's tongue molded cornice, circular mirror plate within anthemion surround festooned by winged putti and swags carved in bas relief, flanked by Neo-Classical flaming torchère columns, dentil molded base, height 86 1/2 in., width 103 in., depth 15 in. Sold for $25,095.00 on November 21, 2014.

A Pair of Continental Neoclassical Marble and Giltwood Looking Glasses, late 18th c., probably Italian, each crest centered by an oval painted cartouche with putti and Classical maiden, foliate scrolls to the sides, the frame composed of pink marble segments and beaded moldings, tapered colonnettes topped by urn finials and ending in leaf pendants, shell and vine base, height 41 in., width 20 1/2 in. Sold for $20,400.00 on September 12th, 2009.

A Napoleon III Carved and Gilded Mirror, mid-19th c., the oval frame with shield and foliage crest, having a concentric beveled and faceted frieze surrounding the mirror plate, a pair of porcelain ovals of classical maidens mounted as medial ornaments, height 64 in., width 43 in., depth 5 in. Sold for $17,625.00 on February 23rd, 2008.

An Italian Rococo Carved, Gilt and Verte Peinte Mirror, probably 18th c., surround finely ornamented with cavorting putti amid scrolled acanthus, height 91 in., width 48 in. Sold for $17,080.00 on April 25, 2014.

A Monumental George III Carved and Giltwood Frame of Majestic Proportions, late 18th c., surmounted with a spreadwing eagle, the rectangular frame with trophées of Greek and Roman weapons and term Triton figures all in high relief, a ducal coronet and armorial blazon centering the lower frame, overall: height 144 in., width 102 in., interior: height 106 in., width 70 1/4 in. Sold for $15,535.00 on September 11th, 2010.

A Rare American Federal Carved and Gilded Looking Glass, c. 1810-1825, the crest surmounted by a monumental spread winged eagle perched on rockwork, fishscale decoration, the coved circular frame with original mirror plate, the sides and base with applied foliate carving, height 48 in., diameter 25 1/2 in.
Sold on February 23, 2008 for $15,275.00

A Monumental Italian Carved and Gilded Mirror in the Baroque Taste, probably mid-19th c., exuberantly carved and modeled, large shell crest issuing acanthine stiles, rectangular mirror frame flanked by carved putti with strapwork cartouche below, height 68 in., width 52 in. Sold for $9,694.00 on February 23rd, 2008.
