A Regency Gilt Bronze and Cut Crystal Ten-Light Chandelier, c. 1820, attributed to John Blades (English, d. 1829), many of the gilt bronze elements stamped B with a numeral, many of the glass collars etched B, stem with multiple tiers and glass collars, upper circlet issuing five arms with bellflower pendant chains, lower reticulated circlet issuing candle arms, tiered rings below, faceted globular pendant, the whole extensively hung with prisms and crystal swags, height 64 in., diameter 38 in. Sold for $107,550.00 on November 17th, 2012.

A Pair of Fine Elaborately Cut Crystal Eighteen-Light Chandeliers, late 19th c., probably Baccarat, each with a double tiered vasiform support issuing spiral crooks and arms hung with pendant bellflowers, the spiral arms ending with prism-hung nozzles and wax pans, hung with garlands of faceted crystals, approx. height 60 in., width 38 in. Sold for $56,400.00 on May 3rd, 2008

Tiffany Studios Bronze "Bell Pepper" Table Lamp Base, early 20th c., tankard impressed "Tiffany Studios / New York / 21218", h. (to top of burner) 12 3/4 in., dia. 16 1/4 in., electrified; together with an associated leaded glass shade in the acorn pattern, unsigned, overall h. 17 1/4 in., dia. 16 in. Sold on September 9, 2017 for $25,620.00

A Pair of Late Regency Gilt Bronze Figural Sinumbra Lamps, c. 1830, Messenger and Sons, base marked "The Act Directs Messenger and Sons, Birmingham", standards cast as Nike-the winged Goddess of Victory-holding a cornucopia of grapes surmounted by reticulated trefoil rims, pedestals festooned with grape vines, raised on incurvate octagonal bases, original cut and etched shades with chimneys, height 36 in., width 10 3/4 in., now electrified.  Sold for $25,095.00 on January 31, 2015.

A Fine Pair of Gilt Brass and Patinated Metal Figural Three-Light Gasoliers, mid-19th c., Cornelius & Baker, Philadelphia, anthemion canopy, rope-twist supports terminating in serpents, central crane mount, fluted arms, original crane motif etched glass shades, height 44 1/2 in., width 20 in. Sold for $25,095.00 on November 21, 2014.

An American Ormolu and Polished Gilt Bronze Six-Light Gasolier, mid-19th c., in a variant of the grapevine pattern, with hollow stems to contain the gas tubing, articulated as cornucopiae issuing grapes and fruits, alternating with bronze-patinated stags' heads, the stem components featuring patinated trumpet-blowing children in grape arbors, below acanthus and grape-wrapped balusters, surrounded by pendant grape clusters, height 60 in., diameter 36 in. Sold on September 30, 2006 for $22,325.00

Fine English Gilt Bronze Four Light Argand Chandelier, early 19th c., urn font with Bacchus masks and garlands, arms with ornate foliate detail, ending in masks, whole suspended from dolphin hooks with elaborate cast chains, h. 60 in., dia. 26 in. Sold on September 12, 2015 for $21,250.

A Pair of Regency Patinated Bronze and Gilt Brass-Mounted Three-Light Argand Chandeliers, 1822, Johnston & Brookes/Hector & Davidson, London, labeled, dated and numbered "S3L" on reverse of heads, foliate canopies, snake shaped handle mounts, urn form fonts over scalloped bowls issuing masks and acanthus mounted arms, bud shaped finials, cut and frosted shades, height 32 in., width with shades 17 in.  Sold for $20,315.00 on January 31, 2015.

A Fine Pair of Louis XVI Bronze Doré and Rouge Royale Marble Five-Light Candelabra, c. 1790, each having a standard in the form of a Classically-garbed woman holding a torchère from which emerge five delicate scroll arms with foliate decoration, the drum plinths encircled by friezes of cavorting cupids in bas relief, acanthus candlecups and antique embellishments, paper label of a French retailer on underside of one. Note: Some chips and wear to gilt surface, one loose molding, now wired for electricity, height to center finial 33 1/2 in. Sold for $18,800.00 on July 12th, 2008

A Rare Pair of Gilt Bronze Argand Lamps, early 19th c., probably English, each with Classical amphora font, navette shaped acanthine bowl, on a bed of acanthus with scrolled feet, etched and frosted shades, height 13 1/2 in., width 11 in.; together with antique presentation cases. Sold for $14,937.00 on January 31, 2015.

A Fine Pair of Large Bronze Torchères, c. 1900, of Beaux Arts inspiration, flared foliate rims, capitals adorned with ram's heads, bound reed columns and flared bases, circular molded plinths, on ball feet, height 79 in., width 21 1/2 in. Sold for $14,100.00 on June 27th, 2009.

A Late Regency Brass and Gilt-Bronze Six-Light Argand Chandelier, c.1830-1850, attributed to Thomas Messenger and Sons, anthemion canopy, urn standard with acanthine leaves over cylindrical font, a tri-lobal dish issuing foliate arms, original cut and frosted shades, chimneys, height 40 1/2 in., width 40 in., now electrified.  Sold for $13,742.00 on January 31, 2015.

 

Tiffany “Pomegranate” Table Lamp, c. 1910, impressed mark “TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK” on shade, patinated four‑legged bronze base, model 440 “Villard”, with sliding standard, on paw feet, 3‑socket cluster, adjustable height 25 ‑32 1/2 in., dia. 16 in. Sold on April 22, 2017 for $13,420.00

A Monumental Pair of French Patinated and Gilt Bronze Two-Light Argand Lamps, early 19th c., each urn-form reservoir with dolphin handles, dolphin arms with shell-decorated lights, fluted tapered standard with acanthine capital and socle, over treble hippocamp supports on incurvate triangular plinth, with scroll and paw feet, four period frosted baluster-form shades, now electrified, with burner mechanisms partially intact, height 29 1/2 in., width 19 1/2 in. Sold for $10,575.00 on February 23rd, 2008.

Pair of Rococo Style Gilt Bronze and Polychrome Porcelain Candelabra, late 19th c., reticulated vasiform standards painted with floral cartouches, one signed, scrolling branches with porcelain candlecups, incurvate plinths, h. 30 in., w. 15 in. Sold for $10,456.25 on April 17, 2015.

Louis XV Style Gilt Bronze Nine Light Chandelier, late 19th/early 20th c., in the manner of Jacques Caffieri (French, 1678 1755), foliate corona, curvilinear acanthine arms, three tiered standard centering floral bouquets and bundles of wheat flanked by putti, h. 57 in., w. 35 in. Sold for $10,455.00 on April 17, 2015.

Four Silvered Metal and Rock Crystal Six-Light Sconces, having scroll arms and ornate tiered backplates in the shape of floral baskets decorated with glass flowers, electric, height 31 in., width 24 in., depth 13 in. Sold for $9,693.75 on December 6th, 2008

A Fine Regency Gilt and Patinated Bronze and Cut Crystal Two-Light Argand Lamp, early 19th c., plaques on each arm "Messenger & Son / 20 Greville St. London / & Birmingham", paneled crystal oil reservoir and egg and dart cut collar, acanthine standard, incurvate triangular base with dolphins and ram's heads, on scroll paw feet, with period etched and cut shades with starburst diamonds, hung with emerald-cut pendants and plain triangular-faceted prisms, height 23 1/2 in., width 20 in., depth 8 1/2 in.
