Marc Fagan, Vice-President, Director of
Consignments, moved to Neal Auction Company in 2004 from New York City
where, for ten years, he established himself as a private dealer
specializing in photography, rare books, posters, natural history and
historical prints, scientific instruments, maps and globes, placing items in
numerous public and private collections including the Getty Museum and the
Smithsonian Institution. Fagan has lived and worked in Prague, Arles and
Maastricht. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Clemson University
and studied at the Fine and Decorative Arts Program at New York University.
Fagan is a member of the Appraisers Association of America, the Manuscript
Society and the American Historical Print Collectors Society (AHPCS).
Fagan has been a guest speaker and appraiser at numerous events including
the Morris Museum of Art, Augusta, GA.; the Amarillo Museum of Art,
Amarillo, TX; the Winter Art and Antiques Show, New Orleans, LA; the
Appraisers Association of America National Conference, New York, NY; the
Antique & Auction Podcast and Forum, WGNO news, New Orleans, LA; and was
recently featured in an episode on the Discovery Channel series “American
